Although he considers songwriting and production to be his greatest strengths, Scott also performs the lead vocals on his recordings. Without formal vocal training beyond a breif stint during his childhood church choir, he embraces a vocal style built on conviction, sincerity, and emotional authenticity rather than technical perfection.

From a songwriting perspective, Scott draws inspiration from artists such as John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Johnny Cash, Elton John, Bernie Taupin, and the enduring legacy of The Highwaymen, whose commitment to honest storytelling continues to influence his writing.
His Americana and Michigan roots have also been shaped by regional artists including The Gasoline Gypsies, Glenbrooke, Ryan Scott and The Creekhounds, Julianne Ankley, Denny Dwyer, and Dirty Dan & The Tattooed Souls. He also credits the band's passionate fan community—the Dirty Dozen—as an example of the kind of authentic artist-listener relationship he hopes to cultivate throughout his career.

Released through hi imprint United Faith Music Group, Scott's debut full-length album, American Crossroads (Signature Edition), introduced listeners to a songwriter focused on life's challenges, personal growth, faith, hope, and redemption through a distinctly American lens.
His sophomore release, Campfire Chords, marked another milestone in his artistic evolution. Written intentionally around simple open chords and basic acoustic strumming patterns, the project reflects Scott's commitment to documenting his musical journey in real time. Having only recently begun learning guitar, he designed the album around techniques he could realistically perform while continuing to grow as a musician.
"I've always believed my gifts are songwriting and production," Scott says. "I'm an average vocalist and an aspiring guitar player. I'm sharing my journey in real time and working every day to become the best performer I can be."
That transparency extends beyond the studio.
Scott has begun performing at local open mic nights throughout Michigan while preparing for a grassroots promotional journey spanning multiple states. Rather than relying on large marketing campaigns, he has embraced organic promotion and personal interaction, believing meaningful connections are built one conversation at a time.
Operating with a modest daily fiv-dollar marketing budget, Scott has steadily grown an engaged audience through word of mouth, authentic storytelling, and face-to-face outreach. His philosophy is simple: if one song reaches one person at the right moment, the journey has been worthwhile.
Today, songs from Campfire Chords have generated thousands of Spotify streams while Scott's overall catalog continues to grow organically, approaching 25,000 total streams. Yet he remains focused on impact over metrics.
"This isn't about fame or attention," Scott says. "It's about helping people, restoring hope, reminding families of the good times, and showing people they aren't alone."
