“Doubters & Haters” was born from the criticism, false assumptions, and online attacks that often come with putting your work—and your heart—out into the world. Confronted by those who dismiss his music, question his intentions, and hide behind keyboards to spread hatred and misinformation, the artist strongly and directly addresses the negative stigmas and judgements provided by some who may not be fans of his music, or message.
But beneath the defiance, this song carries a deeper message. Michael isn’t chasing clicks, attention, or approval. His mission is to use music to reach everyday people, help change lives, restore faith, and encourage a country that desperately needs hope and unity.
Driven by a gritty country-rock sound, soulful vocals, acoustic guitar, and a hard-hitting groove, “Doubters & Haters” refuses to answer hatred with hatred. Instead, Michael offers something stronger: conviction, forgiveness, and a prayer that even his harshest critics may one day find faith.
Lyrics
[4 Bar Intro]
[Verse 1]
Persecution
Misconceptions
Lies and accusations
Internet tough guys
Spreadin’ hatred
And misinformation
On every post i'm makin'
[Chorus]
This one’s for all my haters
Those non-believers
Doubters and naysayers
Sayin’ my music’s just
Clicked and generated
Brother, I’m sorry but
Your sadly mistaken
Keyboard warriors
Hiding in low places
Who wouldn’t dare say it
To my face in public spaces
I’m sincerely sorry
You have so much hatred
For you I pray
And hope one day
God helps you find faith
[Verse 2]
I’m not out here for attention
Clicks and engagement
Our country needs savin'
Meanwhile, I’m busy tryin’ ta
Change a few lives
and help people wake up
[Chorus]
This one’s for all my haters
Those non-believers
Doubters and naysayers
Sayin’ my music’s just
Clicked and generated
Brother, I’m sorry but
Your sadly mistaken
Keyboard warriors
Hiding in low places
Who wouldn’t dare say it
To my face in public spaces
I’m sincerely sorry
You have so much hatred
For you I pray
And hope one day
God helps you find faith
[Bridge]
You probably wish you
Woulda kept that thought
Deep inside your mind
Here’s your tissue
Stop cryin’ and dry your eyes
Maybe, God will forgive you
[Chorus]
This one’s for all my haters
Those non-believers
Doubters and naysayers
Sayin’ my music’s just
Clicked and generated
Brother, I’m sorry but
Your sadly mistaken
Keyboard warriors
Hiding in low places
Who wouldn’t dare say it
To my face in public spaces
I’m sincerely sorry
You have so much hatred
For you I pray
And hope one day
God helps you find faith
